Journey as a Volunteer in The USA

In January 2018, I started volunteering for 3 NGOs in my region Richmond, Virginia including Junior Achievement, Operation Paws for Homes and The Bridge.

Junior Achievement USA

As a volunteer for Junior Achievement, I took Career Success sessions for 9th-12th graders in a school. It was fun to share my work experience, make the youth job-ready and in turn learn from them.

Operations Paws for Homes

I love being the voice of the voiceless. Animal welfare, especially dogs are something which is very close to my heart. I joined Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) as a volunteer. I’ve helped them organize 3 events in Richmond, Virginia.

OPH is a dog rescue and adoption organization and I am glad that I was able to help the organization and some dogs to find their “furever” homes.

The Bridge

With The Bridge, I volunteered to help them with Conversation Cafes where I would help organize and assist in activities, which eventually helped the immigrants to learn the English language a little better.
